About the event

Week Three

Each day this week begin pray Paul’s prayer preserved in Philippians 1:9-11.

Father, may my love grow in knowledge and every kind of insight so I may approve things that really are excellent. May I be pure and blameless this day and in coming the day of your Son, Jesus. May I be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes by walking with Jesus today. May I live today in a way that brings You glory and praise.

Each day this week finish your time reflecting on the supremacy of God in Colossians 1:15-20.

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Week Four

Each day this week begin with Paul’s prayer preserved in Colossians 1:9-14.

Heavenly Father, fill me with the knowledge of Your will with all wisdom and spiritual understanding so that I may live this day worthy of you. I want to fully please you, bearing fruit in every good work that you have prepared for me to do. Strengthen me with all power according to your glorious might, so I may have great endurance and patience joyfully giving thanks to you. Thank you for qualifying me for the share of the inheritance of all Your saints in the light. You have rescued me from the domain of darkness and transferred me into the kingdom of Jesus, whom you love. In Him I have redemption! My sins are forgiven!

Each day this week finish your time reflecting on the supremacy of God in Hebrews 1:1-7.

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.  For to which of the angels did God ever say,

“You are my Son; today I have become your Father”?

Or again,

“I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”?

And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,

“Let all God’s angels worship him.”

In speaking of the angels he says,

“He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.”
