https://bfm.sbc.net, which is comprehensive in its presentation of important biblical truths.
Here are some highlights:
About the bible
The Bible is the word of God. As such it is the clearest way to hear what God has in mind for us.
It is the trustworthy standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions can be
measured and transformed.
The Bible teaches every person is a special creation of God, made in His own image. God formed
us male and female as the crowning work of everything He made. God made people ethnically
diverse. Every person of each gender and every race is loved by God.
By free choice every person violated God’s love and broke their relationship with him.
Only the grace of God, demonstrated by Jesus, accepted by faith, restores our relationship with
God loves people.
In the Bible God reveals himself eternally in three distinct persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Father is God. He is the Giver and Sustainer of all creation. He made everything for His glory
Jesus is God. He was sent by His Father to show us how much he loves us by dying for us on the
cross. Jesus is everyone’s Savior.
The Holy Spirit is God. He is everywhere, every moment of our lives helping us become the kind of
people who honor God. He comforts us in our struggles.
Jesus came to save us from our sins. He took away the world’s sin by dying on the cross. He
demolished sin’s greatest consequence, death, by rising from the dead! He invites everyone to enter
His kingdom by trusting Him. He put it this way, “Follow Me.” Following Jesus is the life we were
created to enjoy.
The Church is the Body of Christ. It includes all Christ followers from every tribe, speaking every
language, from every ethnicity and nation.
The Bible also speaks of the church as a local gathering of Christ’s followers.
The church, local and global, exists to help people love God with all their heart, mind, body and
soul, to love our neighbors, and love one another the way Jesus loves us.
About security in jesus
All true believers endure to the end of their lives. Those whom God has accepted in Christ and sanctified by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere. Believers may fall into sin through neglect and temptation. They may grieve the Spirit and bring reproach to the name and cause of Christ but they shall be kept by the power of God.
About religious liberty
God alone is Lord of the conscience, and He has left it free from the doctrines and commandments of men that are contrary to His Word. A free church in a free state is the Christian ideal, and this implies the right of free and unhindered access to God on the part of all men, and the right to form and propagate opinions in the sphere of religion without the interference by the civil powers. Church and state should be separate.
