About the event
Advent celebrates the birth of Christ and anticipates return of Christ.
The first two Sundays look forward to Christ’s return.
The second two Sundays remember Christ’s birth.
He has come to earth and will come again!
These Bible readings will help you think deeply and historically about this truth:
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
Isaiah 7:14
Love Beginning December 24thThe fourth week of Advent we are invited to reflect on God’s love for us in Christ Jesus.
Jesus said, For God so love the world that He gave His only son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

The Christmas story is a love story.
· Joseph loved Mary. (Matthew 1:18-19).
· Mary loved Jesus.
· God loves everyone. (John 3:16).
Jesus preached love. His greatest commands are love the Lord your God with all you heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:36-40). He radicalized love in His kingdom by setting the example and commanding us to imitate Him, “Love one another as I have loved you.” John 13:34
This is how we know what love is, Jesus Christ lay down his life for us.
